Age of Empires III

Temporarily, Age of Empires III is the last part of the Age of Empires series. It is set in the period between 1500 and 1850, thus past AoE II. The player is abducted in the time of the European empires. France, England and Spain are fighting for the supremacy at the newfounded America as well as the Germans, the Portuguese and the Dutch. You have to play the role of the conqueror who was send by his dynasty to the “new world”.

There are several modes of gameplay. You are able to play the single player campaign or single player skirmishes to learn some basic functions of the game. But the biggest intensity you will find in the multi player mode. You are able to play via LAN or via the ESO network which is supported by RobotEntertainment (RE). The gamer can decide between playing alone or in teams up to a four vs. four against gamers all over the world.

There are two expansion packs released for Age of Empires III. The first one is “The Warchiefs” which introduces three new nations: the Sioux, the Iroquois and the Aztecs. The second expansion pack called “The Asian Dynasties" allows the gamer to play as Japanese, Chinese or Indian.
